Andreas Hauer 

Dr. Andreas Hauer, born on 2 August 1965 in Ybbs an der Donau; school attendance at Steinakirchen am Forst and Wieselburg; graduation from Wieselburg grammar school in 1983; master’s degree in 1987, doctoral degree in law in 1989; military service 1989 to 1990 (3. Gardekompanie/Vienna); 1990 (short) court internship; 1990 and 1998 scientific assistant at the Institute of Administrative Law and Administrative Doctrine of the Johannes Kepler University of Linz (with Professor Dr. Peter Oberndorfer and Professor Dr. Bruno Binder); 1998 post-doctoral dissertation in public law (Habilitation) at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz; 1998 to 2000 member of the scientific staff of the Constitutional Court (Professor Dr. Siegbert Morscher and Dr. Claudia Kahr); since 2000 Professor of Pubic Law at the Institute of Administrative Law and Administrative Doctrine at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz; since 2002 Head of the Department of Energy Law at the Energy Institute of the Johannes Kepler University of Linz; since 2014 Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council for Human Rights of the Ombudsperson’s Office.

Executive positions pursuant to Section 11 (1.2) of the Constitutional Court Act: Member of the Supervisory Board of Linz AG (until April 13th 2018); Managing Director of Dr. Andreas Hauer Verwaltungs GmbH and Dr. Andreas Hauer GmbH.

Member of the Constitutional Court since March 7th 2018; elected Judge-Rapporteur; nominated as Constitutional Court Judge by the National Council.
