Sieglinde GAHLEITNER

Sieglinde Gahleitner, Member of the Constitutional Court 

Dr. Sieglinde Gahleitner, born May 10th, 1965 in St. Veit/ Upper Austria; attended school in St. Veit and Rohrbach, graduated from the Bundesrealgymnasium Rohrbach in 1983; student of law at the University of Vienna from 1983 to 1989; doctorate (Dr.iur.) at the University of Vienna in 1989; social-political reporter at the Federal Chamber of Labor from 1989 to 1995; candidate lawyer from 1995 to 1998, partner at the law firm “Grießer/Gerlach/Gahleitner” from 1998 to 2011, lawyer at the law firm Gahleitner since 2011; member of the  Austrian Takeover Commission from 1999 to 2009; member of the committee of the Bar Association Vienna from 2005 to 2009; member of the University Council at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg from 2008 to 2013, recently deputy chairwoman; honorary professor for Labor and Employment Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) since May 2016; member of the foundation board of the ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) and member of the Bundeseinigungsamt (Federal Bureau of settlement) in 2009; vice president of the Society for Labor and Employment Law since 2012.

Member of the Constitutional Court since 2010; Judge-Rapporteur since 2017; nominated for constitutional judge by the Federal Council.
